Reclaim & Recovery Minimising the environmental impact of used refrigerants

Reclaim & Recovery services are designed to minimise the environmental impact of used refrigerants.  Recovery services avoid the release of the used refrigerant into the atmosphere.  Reclaim services allow the re-use of existing refrigerants avoiding the need to manufacture new refrigerant molecules.

Linde has always promoted the recovery and where possible, reclamation and reuse of refrigerants.

Most countries now have some form of environmental protection legislation to regulate emissions, and many have specific requirements to recover refrigerants.

Linde offers a range of recovery cylinders to allow the safe collection of used refrigerant, avoiding their release into the atmosphere. Many Linde Group companies also offer a range of additional recovery services including the collection of larger volumes of products in larger containers.

Once recovered, Linde can ensure that the refrigerant is destroyed in an environmentally friendly manner.  In many locations, Linde group companies can also carry out reclaim of the recovered refrigerants.  Reclaim involves bringing product back to "as-new" AHRI 700 specification. 

In some geographies Linde also offers a wider range of refrigerant services in conjunction with Hudson Technologies (a US based leading refrigeration technology company).
